Register your InterestMost men are never taught to have an honest relationship with their inner world.
They're taught to perform. To lead. To provide. To hold it together. And most of them do β extraordinarily well, for a very long time.
But somewhere beneath the career, the title, the relationships and the reputation, there's often a quieter, more unsettled version of the same man. One who carries things he's never had words for. Who knows, if he's honest, that the version of himself other people see isn't the whole story.
That gap β between who you appear to be and who you know yourself to be β is where this programme begins.
What The Compassionate Man Is
This is not a men's retreat. It is not therapy. It is not a course you consume on your own time and quietly forget about.
It is a small, carefully selected group of men β no more than twelve, no fewer than eight β working through six months of structured, facilitated coaching. Together. Live. Online.
Each month has a theme. Each session goes somewhere real. Between sessions, there is reflection work, exercises and a private community space where the conversation continues.
The programme draws on the principles of Compassionate Inquiry β a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr Gabor MatΓ© β alongside executive coaching methodology and a mental health-informed understanding of how men actually experience stress, identity and emotion.
It is challenging. It is personal. It requires commitment.
And for the right men, it is genuinely life-changing.
The Six-Month Journey
Month One β Who Am I, Really?
Identity, self-awareness and the gap between who others see and who you know yourself to be. We begin by slowing down and looking honestly at the story you've built about yourself β and what it might be costing you.
Month Two β The Weight I'm Carrying
Unprocessed emotion, grief, loss and what men do with feelings they were never taught to handle. This is not about reopening wounds for the sake of it. It's about understanding what you've been managing β and whether you want to keep managing it alone.
Month Three β The Relationships I'm In
How men show up in their closest relationships, and what emotional disconnection costs the people they love. We explore the patterns that follow us from our earliest experiences into every meaningful relationship we have as adults.
Month Four β The Man I Am at Work
Leadership, pressure, performance and the cost of the mask men wear professionally. This is the month where the inside story meets the outside role β and where the two are often furthest apart.
Month Five β What I'm Afraid Of
Fear, vulnerability and the beliefs that keep men stuck. This is the deepest session of the programme. It asks each man to look at what he is really protecting himself from β and whether that protection is still serving him.
Month Six β Who I'm Becoming
Integration, forward movement and commitment. Not a graduation ceremony, but a genuine reckoning with what each man is taking forward β and what he is choosing to leave behind.
Who This Programme Is For
Men who are high-functioning on the outside and know, privately, that something important is missing. Men who are good at their lives but not sure they're living them fully. Men who have achieved what they set out to achieve and found it wasn't quite the answer they expected.
It draws men from leadership, business, the professions, sport and public life β though what matters far more than your background or your job title is your willingness to be honest, your readiness to do real work and your ability to commit to the full six months.
You don't need to have been in therapy. You don't need to be in crisis. You don't need to have the vocabulary for any of this before you arrive. You need to want something to be different β and to be willing to look at your part in that.
Who This Programme is NOT For
Men who are looking for a quick answer, a framework to apply, or a programme to complete and add to their LinkedIn profile.
If you want strategies for productivity, peak performance or habit optimisation, there are excellent programmes for that β and this isn't one of them.
The Compassionate Man is for the inner work. It asks for honesty, patience and a genuine willingness to sit with discomfort. If that's not where you are right now, this programme will wait.
About Matt Loftus
Matt Loftus is an ICF-accredited Executive Coach, Compassionate Inquiry-trainedΒ and mental health consultant with over a decade of experience working with senior leaders, founders, elite athletes and organisations across the corporate, sporting, charity and public sectors.
He is not a men's coach who discovered a framework. He is a coach who works at the intersection of performance and inner life, with the credentials, the clinical understanding and the lived experience to hold space for both.
The Compassionate Man programme grew directly from his coaching work β from the conversations that kept happening, with successful men who were quietly struggling with things they'd never said out loud to anyone.
He holds this group with the same rigour, warmth and honesty he brings to his one-to-one work.
The Investment
The full investment for The Compassionate Man is Β£1,500 per person.
This covers all seven live coaching sessions across six months, the private community space, all between-session materials and reflection exercises, and Matt's ongoing presence and support throughout.
Β
If cost is a genuine barrier, please get in touch when you apply β I don't want that to be the reason the right person doesn't come forward.
